Shifnal 10K 2024: A Heartfelt Celebration of Community Spirit
On April 28th, 2024, Shifnal hosted its first-ever 10K run, and it was far more than just a race—it was a celebration of our town’s incredible community spirit. The event brought together people of all ages and abilities, each with their own story of resilience and personal achievement. From first-time runners hitting new milestones to those using the event as a step towards recovery and well-being, the day was filled with inspiring moments that highlighted the strength and unity of our community.
The atmosphere was electric, with volunteers and spectators lining the scenic route to cheer on the runners. The support from local businesses and sponsors played a crucial role in the event’s success. The efforts of the organisers, including the team at AV Timing and the unwavering support from the Mayor of Shifnal, ensured that everything ran smoothly, making the event a memorable experience for all.
Personally, being part of this event was deeply fulfilling. It resonated with my passion for community well-being, both through my work at Right at Home and my photography with RAHCommunityCaptures.
